I have been a customer here for 6 years. I am afraid that I no longer can be. They changed owners at the beginning of this year. I took two of my vehicles in to get inspected and ended up with problems. One vehicle passed but that check engine light came on as soon as we picked up the car. The other failed and needed brakes and what they determined to be the airbag or clock spring. I had them replace the breaks and got a qoute for the clock spring ($300) I did not have the money yet but needed the car. On my way home my car started acting funny and making noises when o touched the break. I ended up stuck at the end of an exit ramp because my brakes locked up. Luckily I was not hit. I ended up getting a tow to back to Jerry's for them to look at it. A bolt had backed off one of my brakes and it came loose and ended up pinching the break line. The shop fixed the damages saying "it MAY have been related to our work. So we will take care of it" they were upfront about the issues they found and fixed it. They offered to take care of something else to earn back my trust. I thought this was really nice and good practices by them especially because what had happened could have been EXTREMELY dangerous with me on the interstate. We made an agreement for them to just take care of my airbag issue so I can be safe in the road again and pass inspection. They explained to me that of it was the clock spring they would change it but if it was the airbag they couldn't fix it because of the cost. Which I understood (even though I used AAA and they did not have to pay me back for the tow from Newport News to new Kent and luckily I wasn't hit) I get a call after a day of them having it already saying they need more time with it can they keep it another day. This was on a Wednesday. They ended up keeping my car till the following Tuesday afternoon (Monday was a holiday in their defense.) I get a call on Tuesday afternoon letting me know they turned off the light and went ahead a passed my car but if the light comes back on it is probably the clock spring.... Why didn't they fix it after having it for 6days (3were working buissness days) at this point I really needed my car back for school and work. They were always polite but didn't do the work properly or at all. I'm very saddened and disappointed. I always had good honest service in the past. Oh and my airbag light is back on...
Honest, fast service. I took my car in for a safety inspection and the people there were genuinely interested in making sure my vehicle was safe for the road. I would recommend Jerrys to anyone!

My car almost broke down on a drive from Richmond to Norfolk, and I just managed to pull off the highway to get to Jerry's. These guys knew I was in a time crunch and dropped everything ahead of me to get my car in good working condition as soon as possible. They unfortunately needed to order some parts, so it took a while, but I would NEVER hold that against them - these folks were kind, helpful, honest, knowledgeable, and - considering how crazy busy they were - extremely quick. Since I wasn't able to get lunch and this was a very unexpected stop, they even gave me pizza and a water. Amazing customer service and mechanics that really know their stuff. If Lanexa wasn't so far away, this would be my go-to auto repair shop. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Keep on being awesome, folks! :)
